4/16/25: Xerox Printer Scanning Fix

Due to recent changes made by Google, enhanced security features are now active on the account we use for scanning documents. As a result, the scan-to-email feature is broken until a few changes are made within the printer's web console at each clinic.

Please find your Xerox copier/printer model below and follow the instructions. Please submit a ticket if you have issues or don't see your printer listed - we'll get your back up and running soon!


Versalink:

  1. Access the Xerox web interface by typing the IP address of the copier/printer into a computer web browser’s address field. Choose the "advanced" button to continue to the page if prompted with a "connection not private" message. 

  2. Click "Log In" and use the following:
    Username: admin
    Password: 1111


  3. Navigate to: Apps > Email > Setup

  4. Set Connection Security to STARTTLS

  5. Set SMTP Authentication to SMTP AUTH, then ensure printer@westsidect.com is present, and enter the following password:
    bsbs hrps srpo xjix

  6. Click OK to save

  7. Test the Scan to Email function.



Workcentre (or Altalink)

  1. Access the Xerox web interface by typing the IP address of the copier/printer into a computer web browser’s address field. Choose the "advanced" button to continue to the page if prompted with a "connection not private" message.  

  2. Click "Log In" and use the following:
    Username: admin
    Password: 1111


  3. Navigate to: Properties > Connectivity > Setup

  4. Ensure the "Required Settings" tab is selected.

  5. Click the Edit button next to SMTP (Email).

  6. Click the SMTP Authentication tab.

  7. ensure printer@westsidect.com is present in the username field and enter in the following password:
    bsbs hrps srpo xjix

  8. Click Apply.

  9. Click the Connection Encryption tab.

  10. Set Encryption to STARTTLS

  11. Uncheck Validate Server Certificate

  12. Click Apply.

  13. Test the Scan to Email function.
